FAQ
How does the Omnia work?
Omnia consists of three parts that must always be used together. The clever design means you get both top and bottom heat.
Do you have to grease the Omnia?
Yes! The trays and inserts should be greased before use. Even if you use the Silicone Mold, it should always be generously greased and if you are using it to bake, flour it too.
How do you clean the Omnia?
The best way to clean the Omnia pan is with cold water. Pour cold water in the pan, let it stand for a while, then wash with a little dish soap as usual. (Cold water loosens up the starch in the food.)
How do I know what heat I should use?
The Omnia manual includes helpful hints about setting the heat on various stoves. All stoves perform differently, like most ovens, so adjust according to your personal cooker. Most importantly, practice makes perfect, so get cooking! If this is the first time you are using your Omnia, we recommend testing with a simple recipe, such as a ready-made cake batter, to figure out the right heat for your particular stove.
Is the Silicone Mold necessary?
Not at all. Anything you can cook in the Silicone Mold can be cooked directly in a well-greased (and floured, if you are baking) Omnia Pan. The main advantage of the Silicone Mold is that it makes clean-up easier and often requires less water & scrubbing - a big bonus if you're travelling! This is especially popular with people who like to make casseroles and other dishes that tend to stick.
How do you clean the Silicone Mold?
Wash the mold with warm, soapy water. It is also dishwasher safe.
